2) KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER and outside the trigger guard, until ready to fire or until the command “Commence Firing” has been given.
3) KEEP THE ACTION OPEN AND FIREARM UNLOADED UNTIL READY TO USE
On a firing range this means the shooters are in position on the firing line and the range has been cleared for live firing.
4) KNOW HOW THE FIREARM OPERATES.
5) BE SURE THE FIREARM AND AMMUNITION ARE COMPATIBLE.
6) CARRY ONLY ONE GAUGE/CALIBER OF AMMUNITION WHEN SHOOTING.
When at a shooting range with more that one firearm, use one at a time and when complete, store that firearm and its ammunition before using the next one.
7) BE SURE OF THE TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND.
When on shooting ranges be mindful also of adjacent areas and act accordingly.
8) WEAR EAR AND EYE PROTECTION.
9) DO NOT MIX ALCOHOL AND DRUGS WITH SHOOTING ACTIVITIES.
10) BE AWARE THAT CERTAIN CIRCUMSTANCES MAY REQUIRE ADDITIONAL RULES.
1) Hours of operation are from 8:00 am ‘til dark, 7 days a week unless an approved organized club activity is scheduled.
2) Know and obey all range rules and commands.
Members and guests found to be in violation of the range rules and regulations may be removed from the club as set forth in the club
bylaws.
3) Know where others are at all times.
Check for personnel down range prior to doing anything on the firing line.
Display the yellow range flag if there is no one at the firing line to let others know that you are down range.
4) The range is to be used by members and guests only unless the range is open for an approved organized club activity.
Guests MAY NOT be dropped off or left alone at the range for any reason.

Do not shoot the target frames or silhouette stands. NO GLASS TARGETS ARE ALLOWED!
11) Ground level targets are not authorized without a proper backstop.

This will reduce the possibility of ricochets and projectiles escaping the range property.
Fire only at targets that are in front of you, do not fire at an angle across the range.
12) Unload, open the action, remove the magazine and ground and/or bench all firearms
with the muzzle up during a "CEASE-FIRE".
13) DO NOT handle any firearm or stand at the firing line where firearms are present or
remove a firearm from your vehicle while others are down range.
14) Always keep the muzzle pointed at the backstop or bullet trap.
Never allow the muzzle to point in any direction whereby an
inadvertent discharge would allow the escape of a projectile into an outer area.
15) DO NOT proceed forward of the firing line until a cease-fire is called and the range is declared safe / clear.
No one is to be forward of the firing line while any part of the range is in use.
When it is necessary for a shooter to go down range for any reason they must see that all
other shooters on the firing line make their firearms safe.
In order to make their intention to go down range known to other shooters, they should approach
them and make sure that they know their intentions
as earmuffs and earplugs cut down on hearing ability.
There should be no handling of firearms on the firing line while anyone is down range.
Be courteous when asking to "clear the line".
People that are practicing for competition have a certain time limit to fire a string of shots.
Interrupting them in the middle of a string will break their concentration and possibly force them to fire the entire string over again.
Your courtesy will be rewarded by their courtesy.
16) Clean up your area when you are finished.
17) All firing must be done from designated firing lines or positions.
18) Firearms capable of operating fully automatic are prohibited.
